Harrison County Lifeline Connection is a non-profit, non-denominational community small group ministry offering a faith-based alternative to individuals and/or their families who struggle with life-controlling problems such as substance abuse and anger. It can benefit those openly struggling, those who want to stay free or those that simply want to help others. Since most people –if not all – are dealing with some area of struggle, this small group can benefit ANYONE open to the Lord working in his or her life.
A life-controlling problem is anything that masters our lives.“
“ ‘Everything is permissible for me’—but not everything is beneficial. ‘Everything is permissible for me’—but I will not be mastered by anything.”
-I Corinthians 6:12
Life-controlling problems fall into 3 categories:
1.) Substance—drugs, alcohol, food, prescription medications
2.) Behavior—Gambling, pornography, outbursts of anger, etc.
3.) Relationships—Co-dependent, unhealthy, or enmeshed relationships
Our goal is to help those with life-controlling problems find hope where you thought there was none, provide an alternative path off the dead end road, and replace the lost feeling with a reason for living. Small groups are open to the community and will be limited to 12 participants.
